
The Campbell Volunteer Fire Department was recently
honored by the Hunt County First Responders as the 2012 Department of
the Year. Members present to accept the award at the group's annual
dinner were, beginning second from from left, Jay Hoffman, Frank Prigmore,
Ples McKee, Frank Prigmore Jr. and Dustin Davis. At far left is Andrew
Threndyle, Emergency Services director at Hunt Regional Medical Center,
who presented the awards.
Others honored at the dinner were James Lorne, Quinlan
Volunteer Fire Department, Paramedic of the Year; Bob Weishaupt, Caddo
Mills VFD, Chief of the Year; Steve Bowen, Quinlan VFD, Assistant Chief
of the Year; Jack Isham, Quinlan VFD, Rookie of the Year; Rene Owens,
EMS Mentor of the Year; Union Valley VFD, Clean Up Crew of the Year,
and, Cash VFD, Teamwork Award.
Also attending the awards dinner at the Fletcher Warren
Civic Center were Richard Carter, Hunt Regional Healthcare CEO, and
Dr. Mauricia Trujillo, medical director of Emergency Services at Hunt
Regional Medical Center.

Blake Jordan of Caddo Mills was named the First Responder
Emergency Medical Technician of the Year. The Campbell Fire Department
was honored as the Department of the Year, and James Lorne of the Quinlan
Fire Department (not pictured) was named Paramedic of the Year. The
annual dinner recognizing all first responders was held on Saturday
evening at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center.

Robert Gayden III with the Quinlan Fire Department was
honored as the 2012 First Responder of the Year and was presented his
award by Andrew Threndyle, Emergency Medical Services Director at Hunt
Regional Healthcare.
